The First Chakra or Root Chakra
Two weeks ago, we discussed the human chakra system, focusing on the 7 main energy centers in general. Today we will briefly write about the first chakra or the root.
The location is at the base of the spine and is considered your physical body connection to the ground. Think of it as your grounding zone, often considered the most instinctual of all of the chakras and it is regarded as your survival center, often tied in with your life energy.
When your Root Chakra is out of balance you may feel frustration or anger that stops you in moving towards your intentions. An imbalance can even affect your sex drive.
The color Red is associated with this chakra and the color itself often will aid in the balancing of the first chakra. In addition, the distinctive vibrations of healing crystals are one of the ways to cleanse, awaken and balance the Root Chakra.
